SHIW
Niagara Community Legal Clinic is currently involved in a Department of Justice Canada initiative to address the persistent issue of sexual harassment in the workplace. This 3-year federal allotment (to March 31, 2024) includes project funding of twenty-two community legal clinics throughout Ontario.
The Sexual Harassment in the Workplace (SHIW) project is funded:
- To increase public awareness and knowledge about sexual harassment in the workplace;
- To provide public legal education and information, which includes free webinars to workplaces; and
- To provide advice / legal information should a concern arise.
NiagaraCLC’s SHIW project is a Legal Partner with “Botler for Citizens” – A free AI citizen-empowering-service designed to support victims of sexual harassment and misconduct through Response and Action guidance.
